Sandra Jean “Lion Lady” Pegoraro, of Mayville, took her final breath on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the age of 79.
A Celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on a later date.
Sandra was born the daughter of Luke and Cricket (Stoner) Pegoraro on June 17, 1945, in Rockford Illinois.
Sandra was a true artist in everything she did. Her lifelong devotion to her crafts was evident in every flower, rumball or cookie she baked, and in every single stitch she made.
If you were lucky enough to have a Lion Lady creation in your possession you have something that stands the tests of time and trend. A true classic so like the woman who created it.
Sandra is a woman who will be deeply missed by her life partner Robert Lukasavitz; daughter Jennifer Lukasavitz; brothers Luke Pegoraro of MN and Bob Pegoraro of CA. Sandra is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.
Sandra’s family extends their sincerest gratitude to friends, family, and the staff at Crossroads Care Center in Mayville for all the assistance during this time.
