Shannon Sue Neu

Shannon S. Neu, age 50, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

The memorial gathering will be at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 1:50 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Will Arnold officiating. Inurnment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Shannon Sue was born on December 1, 1973 to Rodney and Sue (Roach) Kramer in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. They ended up moving to Beaver Dam when Shannon was a young child, and she graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1992. Shannon became a mom at a young age, but that didn’t hold her back from achieving her life goals. After graduating high school, she attended Moraine Park, and received her associates degree as an RN. Several years later, she continued her education and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Shannon was a nurse at Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam. She was passionate about nursing and loved her co-workers that she considered as family.  Shannon was always looking for an adventure. She loved going on camping trips and biking to find the next “dive bar”. Shannon liked music and was always up for going to a concert, especially if it was country. She loved to travel, and in the summer months, she was always looking for the next rummage sale and craft fair to attend. Shannon was a kind, loving, and beautiful person. She will be missed by so many.

Survivors include her children, Jordan (Courtney) Hiley of Beaver Dam, Jared Schraufnagel of Columbus, and Olivia Neu of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren who affectionately called her Nana, Brantley & Haylee and Harper & Willow; her parents, Rodney “Duke” (Marlene) Kramer of Beaver Dam and Sue Moser of Beaver Dam; brother-in-law, Mason Henkel of Malone; step siblings, Misty (Eric) Burton of Palmyra and Kurt Mara of Middleton; step niece, Natalie and step nephew, Sean; other relatives and friends. Shannon was preceded in death by her grandparents; her stepdad, John Moser; and her sister, Chelsea Henkel.
