Sharon A. Mueller

Sharon Ann Mueller, age 83, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Aspirus Hospital in Stevens Point surrounded by her loving family.

A private family service and inurnment for Sharon will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville with Rev. Fr. Zachary Galante presiding.

Sharon was born on March 26, 1943, to Donald and Caroline (Lifke) Behnke. She graduated from Mayville High School in 1961 and was united in marriage to William Mueller on November 2, 1963, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville.

Sharon worked for West Bend Company for 16 years and later went on to work in food service at Mayville High School. Following retirement, Sharon and Bill moved to their lake home in Rome, Wisconsin. Sharon loved living on the lake and enjoyed various outdoor activities throughout the seasons. During the summer, she could often be found enjoying pontoon rides on the water, cruising on the jet ski, and ending the day with her family around the campfire. In the winter, Sharon looked forward to snowmobile rides through the snow-covered trails. Many cherished memories were made during these years.

Sharon had a special gift for making things beautiful, whether through her gardens blooming with colorful flowers or the warmth she brought into the lives of her family and friends. Each spring, she and Bill would take trips to the Amish greenhouses to select the most beautiful flowers for her gardens. She also found great joy in decorating her home, especially for the holidays.

Above all, Sharon cherished her family dearly and treasured every conversation, celebration, hug, and moment shared together. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sharon is survived by her husband Bill; her children: Shawn (Brian) Bauer and Shannon (Michele) Mueller; three grandchildren: Andy (Emilee) Mueller, Brianna “Sr. Caroline Marie” Bauer, and Ashley (Branden) Kluge; four great-grandchildren: Jett, Ellie, and Wren Mueller, and Liam Kluge; her brother Pobe (Barb) Behnke; and in-laws: Judy Behnke, Phyllis Mueller, Arnie (Audrey) Mueller, and Marlene (Donald) Lechner. Sharon is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Don Behnke Jr.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Sharon loved plants. Hope these will keep her memory in our hearts.

Our sincere sympathy to the Mueller family. The most I will remember is our pontoon rides with Bill and Sharon. We felt like queens sitting in the front seat. Always went out to eat and then just chatting over old times before heading back to Mayville. Will always remember her favorite saying "I am strong." and she was. Missing you already.

Shawn and Shannon, we're very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Praying for your entire family in your time of sorrow.

I am so grateful for the visit we had back in March. Sharon was so happy, and that is a memory I will carry with me forever. I was so looking forward to this summer, when we would bring my Mom for another visit and Billy could take us out on the pontoon boat. I guess the Good Lord had other plans for Sharon. I hope it gives you comfort that she is watching over you.
