Sharon A. Tillema of Randolph, WI was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Friedens Ev. Lutheran Church, 335 Jones Drive, Randolph. A Christian Funeral Service will begin at Noon with Rev. Anthony Straseske officiating. Interment will be at Randolph Cemetery, Randolph, Wisconsin.
Sharon was born at home on August 8, 1940, the daughter of Raymond and Gertrude (Luidens) Moldenhauer in Randolph, Wisconsin. Sharon was baptized into Christian faith on September 1, 1940 and made her lifetime vows of confirmation on January 31, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Friesland. She was a 1958 graduate of Randolph High School. Sharon was united in marriage to Gerald Tillema at Friedens Ev. Lutheran Church on June 27, 1959.
Sharon was a faithful member of Friedens and a member of the Ladies Aid. She thrived in her role as a Christian homemaker, wife and mother. She cherished the time raising her children and creating a loving household. Sharon enjoyed many types of crafts including sewing, knitting, cross-stitching and ceramics. She also loved tending to her various plants and flowers. Many fond memories were made while playing cards with friends and family. Sharon and Gerry enjoyed traveling in their retirement years and spent many winters in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her husband of 65 years, Gerry; her children: Steve (Lorie) Tillema, Brenda (Tim) Eager and Leann (Dan) Rahn all of Randolph, Paul (Joy) Tillema of Fleming Island, FL and Marcie (Joel) Kieckhaefer of Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren: Amanda (Shane) Ziegel, Craig (Bryanna) Tillema, Kevin (Lauren) Tillema, Kristin (Brian) Roers, Bruce Waterworth, Brandon (Ashleigh) Waterworth, Mitchell (Jami) Waterworth, Aaron Tillema, Elijah Tillema, Eva Tillema, Annelise Kieckhaefer and Max Kieckhaefer; 18 great grandchildren: Cody, Hannah, Caleb, Haley, Carson, Heather, Collin Ziegel, Aiden and Emmett Tillema, Jagger and London Tillema, Sadie, Rachel and Issac Roers, Brayden Haffele, Beau and Monroe Waterworth and Everleigh Waterworth; her siblings Rev. Roger (Carol) Moldenhauer, Bonnie (Larry) McDaniel and Gary (Diane) Moldenhauer; brothers-in-law: Alfred (Winifred) Tillema and Arnold Tillema. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Lee; her brothers: Ronald Moldenhauer and Ray Moldenhauer.
Memorial donations in Sharon’s name may be directed to Friedens Ladies Aid or to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.
