Sharon J. Payne, age 94, of Beaver Dam, died peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Hillside Manor Nursing Home.
The memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Eric Taylor officiating.
Sharon June was born on June 10, 1929 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Arthur and Jennie (VanSaane) Derge. She was a 1946 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On March 6, 1948, Sharon was united in marriage with Irvin E. Payne. Sharon worked for JCPenney from 30 years in the home furnishings department. She enjoyed playing sheepshead and going to the casinos.
Sharon is survived by her children, Thomas (Kathy), Paul, Russell (Karen) and Michelle (Richard) Guderian; grandchildren, Megan (Sam) Radulovich, Jessica (Nick) Koller, Tyler Payne and Courtney (Joe) Payne Goldammer, Daniel Guderian, Lindsey (Todd) Bambrough and Casey (Justin) Tebeest; great grandchildren, Jesse, Emily (Isaac), Ryan, Maverick, Amanda, Brooklyn and Skye; great-great grandchild, Remmington; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Roger (Deb) Derge and Clark (Susie) Derge; grandson, Andrew Payne; and daughter-in-law, Julie Payne.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I spent a lot of sleepovers during high school at Sharon's home with her daughter Michelle. Always enjoyed her company! She always welcomed me and gave us our late night when we stayed up for Jerry Lewis telethon!
Now she is at rest in God's arms.
