Sharon “Liz” McCollum, age 65, of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, June 22, 2009 at her home.

A memorial gathering will be held at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A private Celebration of Life service will be held and John R. Leiting will be the celebrant.

The former Sharon Elizabeth Spice was born on September 4, 1943 to Lester and Eileen (Liebergen) Spice in Appleton, Wisconsin. Liz was a 1961 graduate of Kaukauna High School. On November 6, 1982, she was united in marriage with William McCollum in Juneau. Liz was the business manager for Dr. Schuler for many years and owned and operated Maid in Beaver Dam cleaning service. She later became a real estate agent and worked for Stan”s Realty, Century 21 and Remax. Liz enjoyed planting flowers at her home, bowling, and golfing. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish.

Liz is survived by her husband, Bill McCollum, Beaver Dam, her mother, Eileen Spice, Little Chute, three children, Lori (Mike) Sherman, Juneau, Melissa “Missy” Nelson (friend, Jim Schade), Beaver Dam, and David (Kathy) Nelson, Green Bay, stepdaughter, Kristi (John) Love, CA, grandchildren, Adam and Aaron Nelson, brothers and sisters, Jan (Tom) Lindemuth, CA, Ellen (Dave) Kiefer, Chippewa Falls, Barb Spice (fiancAC., Bob Ogreenc), Milwaukee, Peggy (Don) Gerrits, Kaukauna, Becky Spice (partner, Malcolm Woods), Wauwatosa, Jim (Linda) Spice, Milwaukee, sister-in-law, Margaret Spice, Kaukauna, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Larry Spice.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Sharon E. “Liz” McCollum”s name to Hillside HomeCare / Hospice, 709 S. University Avenue, Beaver Dam, WI 53916.
