Shirley Mae Clough

Shirley Mae Clough, 93, of Rolling Prairie passed away with joy in her heart on Monday, May 12, 2025 with her family surrounding and celebrating her new life with Jesus.

Shirley Mae was born on May 19, 1931 in Beaver Dam to Philip and Hilda (Schultz) Hoffmann. She was a 1949 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Shirley was married to Donald F. Clough on December 19, 1950 in Beaver Dam. Over the years, Shirley helped her husband with the dairy farm. She along with her husband Don, owned and operated Floral Expressions for over 30 years.

Music was an important part of Shirley’s life. She was a longtime organist for Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She created the Shirley Mae Trio performing locally where she played the organ and sang.

Shirley Mae is survived by her children: Gary Clough of Brandon, Renee (Steven) Huck of Burnett, Mari Lynne (David) Katsma of Rolling Prairie, and Alan (Lisa) Clough of Rolling Prairie; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Shirley Hoffmann; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald in 2021; son Johnny; brothers: Earl (Margaret) Hoffmann and Virgil Hoffmann; and twin great grandsons.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at MarshView Ministries, 103 S. Cedar St., Horicon. A Celebration of Life will begin at 4:30 p.m. at MarshView Ministries with food and fellowship to follow.

Memorials may be directed to MarshView Ministries in Horicon or to the charity of one’s choice.
