Susan J. Grams, age 73, of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at her home.

In keeping with Susan’s wishes, there will be a private family gathering, but no formal service.

Susan Jean was born on February 27, 1951 in Hudson, Wisconsin to James and Helen (Shute) Wall. She eventually made her way to Beaver Dam and worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory. She worked for over 25 years at the factory and later enjoyed bartending at Trails End. This was a job that she thoroughly enjoyed; Sue was a talker and she loved conversing with the locals. In her pastime, she liked to crochet. She made blankets for every single person in her family, including the great-great grandchildren that would someday arrive years after her passing. Sue loved to laugh and have a good time with her friends and family. She will be truly missed by all that loved her.

Susan is survived by her son, Patrick (Lisa) Klatt of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Kaylee (Joey) Duel of Fox Lake, Christy Niles of Beaver Dam, Kristina (Jeremy) Klatt of Beaver Dam, and Nick (Taylor) Klatt of Beaver Dam; great grandchildren, Dayton, Taylor, Aryanna, Aubry, and Ayden, Kaelynn and Kenzie, Maddison and Bradyn, Sam and Bowyn; sister-in-law, Ginny Wall of MN; nieces, Dianne, Kathy and Michelle; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husbands, Keith Klatt and Arnold Grams; and brother, James Wall.

The one memory I have of cousin Susan is a visit with her in Hudson WI. We were both very young but do remember exploring the wooded area and a creek near her parents house. I think it was my first time meeting her and she was very friendly. She left quite a first impression but I don't remember seeing her at other times over the years. I pray God receives her with open arms. May she rest in peace. To the family, may your pain be brief and your memories forever.
