Sylvia M. Kuenzi

Sylvia M. Kuenzi, age 103, died Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Clearview Health & Rehabilitation in Juneau.

Visitation for Sylvia will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Will Arnold officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Sylvia Marie was born on October 4, 1920, in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late John and Mary (Leech) Meyer. She graduated from St. Peter grade School in 1935 and Beaver Dam High School in 1938. On February 22, 1941, Sylvia was united in marriage with Frederick E. “Fritz” Kuenzi in Beaver Dam. One of the things they enjoyed was fishing together on the Chippewa Flowage. Sylvia worked at the Monarch Range Shell Plant during WW II and then in the Dietary Department at Beaver Dam Community Hospital for 18 years. She was a life-long member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam.

Survivors include her four children, Gordon Kuenzi of Beaver Dam, DuWayne (Mary Ann) Kuenzi of Beaver Dam, Kathleen (George) Heine of Minnesota Junction, and Warren (Mary Jo) Kuenzi of Beaver Dam; 10 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, a daughter-in-law, Naomi Kuenzi; her sister, Leora Ollinger; and her brother, Leo Meyer.
