Thomas R. Wise

Thomas Robert Wise, 55, died Monday, December 8, 2008, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Tom was born November 28, 1953, in Winona, MN, to Robert and Luella (Scherbring) Wise. All of his youth was spent in the Winona area where he graduated from Winona Cotter High School in 1972. He then attended Winona State College and UW of LaCrosse. On August 27, 1983, Tom was united in marriage to Jill Ruedy at the Cathedral of Sacred Heart in Winona. Three children were born to this union, Jared, Jenna and Jonathan all of Beaver Dam. Tom and his family lived in Eau Claire, WI, Mankato, MN, Austin, MN, and Selah, WA, while he worked in retail management. In 1999 they moved to Beaver Dam, WI, where Tom continued in retail until 2003 when he began his employment as an insurance agent with Choice Insurance Agency. Tom was an Eagle Scout, a baseball and soccer coach, and a member of the Selah, Washington Knights of Columbus. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer. He especially enjoyed watching his children”s participation in various youth and high school sports.
Survivors include his wife, Jill; three children, Jared, Jenna and Jonathan; brothers and sisters, Debra (Lindsey) Posey of Rollingstone, MN, Linda (Tony) Kiedrowski of Trempeleau, WI, William (Bridget) Wise of Centerville, OH, Barbara (Jeff) Canar of Trempeleau, WI, Michael (Ann) Wise of Chaska, MN, and Karen (Don) Andre of Fall Creek, WI; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Carole Ruedy of Sparta, WI; three brothers-in-law, Joe (Sue) Ruedy, Jeff (Donna) Ruedy and Jary Ruedy all of Sparta, WI. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett and Erna Wise.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at 11:00am at Cathedral of Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Reverend Richard Colletti officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Mary”s Cemetery in Winona. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Jary Ruedy, Joe Ruedy, Jeff Ruedy, Mike Posey, Andy Kiedrowski and David Canar. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Wise, Brian Canar, Paul Kiedrowski, Peter Kiedrowski and Lindsey Posey.
