Thomas ‘Tom’ Reed, age 70, of Mayville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend.A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Visitation will be held from 1:30-3:30 pm at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville. Celebration of life will start at 3:30 pm with Pastor Steve DeLano officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Mayville after the celebration.Tom was born the son of Raymond and Emily (Czarnecki) Reed on February 2, 1951 in Milwaukee. He was united in marriage to Karen Koenitzer on May 26, 1973 in Milwaukee. Karen passed away in 2009. Tom later married Barbara Huckstep on August 28, 2015 in Juneau. He worked as a skilled machinist and welder with Blower Application Company Inc. and retired from Starline Manufacturing in 2016. In his spare time, Tom loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, fishing and hunting. He also loved a good cup of coffee! Tom loved music — especially from the fifties. Family was important to Tom and he cherished the time spent with them.Tom is survived by his wife Barbara of Mayville. His children- Jenny (Scott) Strand, Mayville, Adam Reed, St. Paul, MN, Ben (Heather Taylor) Reed, Waukesha, Laura Reed, Grand Prairie, TX and Chloe (Timothy Fruit) Reed, Sheboygan Falls. His step son – Brian (Katrina) Huckstep of Hartford. His grandchildren – Shelby, Miranda, Nora and Kate. His step grandchildren – Devon, Henry and Charlie Huckstep. His canine companion – Coco. Further survived by other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Karen.Memorial in memory of Tom can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
