This message is for my sweet girl, Nana, who used to attend Jefferson School in Beaver Dam. I was so saddened to hear of your dad dying at such a young age. My dad just also recently died but he was 88 years old and lived a great life. I see your dad went to a Lutheran church just like my dad and our family. Please seek the comfort of others and your church for trying to understand this difficult time in your life. You are so young to be without a dad, but he is still with you in your thoughts and in your heart, but that doesn’t always help when you really just want to hug him. I also see your dad was in a band, this is so weird but my dad was the drummer of a polka band and sang in the Navy choir and his school choirs. I hope that you are using your gift and ability of music by still singing. Music can also be a great way to connect to your dad and keep his love of music alive in you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I see the funeral is on Friday and I will not be able to make it in person, but I am sending you a big hug and prayers that you will be ok.
