I met Wanda about 5 years ago in the Woodman''s parking lot, followed her home to put her groceries away for her, and we wound up being friends who saw each other every Tuesday for about the next 2 years, before she moved closer to her family. We''d go "shopping" and then to Perkins almost every week, all the while getting to know each other and just chatting away like a couple of girlfriends that had known each other forever. She was 40 years older than me, but age didn''t matter. Even with her leg that had been stricken by polio all those years ago, she''d still hop up into the van (my only source of mobility) each and every week, and handled life like a trouper. She will be missed, but I am grateful that she''s in a better place now, where she''s not going to need that little grocery cart looking thing to get around anymore! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Chuck and family, Was so sad to hear about your Mom''s passing. I haven''t seen or talked to her in several years but she''s my namesake and I will never forget her. I used to love to come over and play with the dogs. You are in my prayers.

Chuck and family, I was very sorry to hear of your Mother''s passing. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your Mom was a great example of "can do" nothing seemed to stop her. She is now united with her deceased love ones. May the Lord give you strength during this difficult time. Connie Wild Gourlie

You have my deepest sympathy Chuck and your family. My mom passed away just 4 days before. Its hard to loose a mom no matter how old we are. I''m sure they are all very happy and have a card game going for sure by now. Thinking of you. Kay Wild

Years back I lived on South Spring Street and babysat for the Dahm boys when your mom got polio. I well remember Wanda, (your mom), dad, and your brother and the house on the corner of W. Davis and Wilson Avenue.
