Warren L. Braaksma, age 69, passed away at home on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
Warren was born July 12, 1954 in Hustisford, Wisconsin to Donna M. Emery and Richard F. Braaksma.
Warren was an avid Mr. Fix It. In Warren’s glory days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, racing, working on cars, and was a car show enthusiast. After he retired from Steele Craft Corp in 2005, Warren loved seeing his grandchildren and as they came, the great grandchildren.
Warren is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sue; his children, Tara (Joshua) Gehrke, David (Joanne) Sturgill and Kim Sturgill; one special adopted daughter, Magan (Adam) Milkoswki; grandchildren, Kay-Lynn (Cody) Portale, Austin (Preston VandeSlunt) Gehrke-Braaksma, Meggan (Angel) Mendoza, Kayla (Brandon) Oestreich, Nathaniel (Hannah) Sturgill, Matthew (Mindy) Gallagher, Mark Gallagher, Krystal (Jon Currier) Gallagher, Craig Sturgill, Brittany (Jordan) Mai, Brianna Repp and Brijette Repp; great grandchildren, Ryan Portale, Katelyn, Issebelle, Calyses, Amenadiel and Azreal Mendoza, Zander, Addilynn and Rowen Sturgill, Logan, Sebastian and Jasper Gallagher, Amara and Kalvin Currier, Scarlett and Grayson Mai, and Jaelyn Jenkins; siblings, Clayton (Terrie) Braaksma, Ruth (Donald Wolf, Jr.) Emery and Thomas (Terrie) Emery; a special adopted brother, John Young; as special close friend, Mike Marsh; a super special car show friend, Robert (Sherri) Benoit; many other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on July 13, 2024.
