Wayne F. Bagneski, Sr, age 88, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, October 8, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison surrounded by family.
Visitation for Wayne will be at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Will Arnold officiating. Burial will be at Annunciation Cemetery in Randolph.
Wayne Francis Bagneski was born on November 13, 1937, in Randolph, Wisconsin to Frank and Edna (nee Howley) Bagneski. After graduating from Randolph High School, he served in the United States Army and continued his service with the Wisconsin National Guard. Wayne worked at John Deere Horicon Works for over 30 years, retiring in the mid 1990’s. He also served as a member of the Lowell Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Wayne was an avid hunter, especially deer and small game. In retirement, Wayne enjoyed helping Don Winger haul corn during the fall harvest. Wayne also enjoyed spending a couple of months each winter in Arizona and spending his weekends in the summer at Silver Spring Campgrounds near Rio. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Katharine Drexel Church.
Survivors include his six children, Sandy (John) Jillson, Frank (Judy) Bagneski, Lisa (Adrian Mosby) Berry, David (Kim) Bagneski, Stacey Aguilar, and Wayne Bagneski, Jr; his grandchildren, Michele (Dan) Bie, Mathew Wille, Cassie (Steve) Mejchar, Jordan Bagneski, Elizabeth Koprek, Nathan (Ana) Bagneski, Traci Gomez, Chelsea (Carlos) Otero, Gabrielle Bagneski, Dellaney (Daitin Moody) Bagneski, Haleigh Bagneski, Imeilya Bagneski, Cristopher Bagneski, Cristina Martinez, Alex Rodriguez, Monique Aguilar, Jazmyn Aguilar, and Eduardo Aguilar; 44 great grandchildren; three siblings, Rosemary Tietz, Theresa Anderson, and Roger Bagneski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Bagneski; his sister, Karen “Kae” Bagneski; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Anderson and Howard Tietz.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to St. Mary’s Hospital and SSM Hospice for the care they provided to Wayne.
