William “Bill” J. Dogs

William “Bill” J. Dogs, 73, of Beaver Dam and formerly of Mayville passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

William was born on November 30, 1951 the son of Peter and Evelyn (Giese) Dogs in the township of Theresa, Wisconsin.  He was a 1970 graduate of Mayville High School.  On September 23, 1972, he was united in marriage with Janet Dahnert at Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon.  They made their home on the family farm in Mayville, later moving to Oak Grove and then to Beaver Dam.

Bill had been employed with Hechimovich Landfill, Krebs Trucking and had been a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed shooting darts, playing pool and cards, and spending time fishing.  Bill was social and outgoing. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. He was a member of the Dodge County Masonic Lodge #72.

Above all, he cherished time with his grandkids, celebrating their accomplishments and creating lasting memories.  Bill’s warmth, humor and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bill is survived by his children: James (Jennifer) Dogs of Oakfield, Jason (Nicole) Dogs of Beaver Dam, Jamie (Jill) Dogs of Sheboygan and Kimberly Dogs of De Pere; grandchildren: Austin, Kane, Kendra, Maggie, Kayla, Josie and Haily.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janet in 2002, his brother Norman Dogs and his sister Jeannette Moll.

A memorial gathering for Bill will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m.  Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the special people at Hope Nursing and Rehabilitation and the other facilities that have lovingly cared for Bill over the years.  Your kindness will always be remembered.
