William R. Callies, 65, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Sylvan Crossings in Jefferson with his loving wife at his side.
William was born on September 12, 1958 in Columbus to Clarence and Esther Callies. On May 20, 1989, he was united in marriage to Mary Schuster. Over the last 40 years, William was employed as an over-the-road truck driver with various companies until he retired due to health issues.
William enjoyed fixing everything he could get his hands on, camping and deer hunting. Most of all, he loved spending time with all of his grandkids and all of their pets.
William will be missed by his wife Mary Callies; children: April (Brock) Miles and Ashley (Matthew) Dachs; grandchildren: Braxton, Bryce, Evelyn, Benjamin and Madelyn; siblings: Clarence (Jeannie) Callies, Ronnie (late Lorraine) Callies, Jim (Linda) Callies, Dougy (Angela) Callies, Rosemary (late Donald) Dobbratz, Susie (Alfred) Jameson, Cindy (Nate) Elsner; sister-in-law Sharon Callies; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Diane (Lyle) Blasing and Jerry Callies.
A huge thank you to Jan Blasing, a very special niece, for all the help she provided over the last few months.
It was William’s wish that no formal services be held and cremation is to take place.
