I met Wilma 15 years ago at Columbus Community Hospital when I began volunteering in the gift shop. After a few years, I had to step away with little kids at home, but we would stop in to visit with her and the other ladies. Then, after a few more years, I started volunteering at the senior center and she was teaching the exercise class (in her 90s!) and she and I would catch up at least once a week. Then later, after her legs bothered her too much to continue the exercise class, we would bump into each other on Thursday mornings at the hair salon every couple of months and exchange Christmas cards.
She was a hard-working, dedicated and caring lady. I’ll miss your kind heart, your endearing smile and your spunky attitude. Until we meet again, Wilma.
