Toby was born on July 5, 1930 in town of Lowell, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roy V. and Ruth (Klentz) Rennhack of Reeseville, Wisconsin. Toby was previously married to Leon Schmitt, Sr. on July 19, 1947 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Beaver Dam and they raised ten children. She later met and married George Strohbusch, Sr. on July 25, 1992 at Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell, WI. Toby was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Lowell and a former member of the Salem Ladies Aid. Her life was centered on her love of her family and her faith. She endeavored to begin a new career after raising her children; she graduated from Auctioneering School and was also a licensed realtor. Toby was the owner and bartender at Butch and Toby’s bar, she sold real estate, was an auctioneer, and was always devoting special time to her children, grandchildren and friends. Toby’s generosity was boundless; always donating to a worthy cause. Her dual passions were listening to WBEV each morning and sharing her recipes, quilting, crafting, fishing for bullheads and teaching her kids new recipes to make, which she eagerly awaited to share. She traveled many times to Lodi to go fishing at her trailer with family during her lifetime and the stories would fill volumes. Col. Yvonne is preceded in death by: her parents, her 1st husband Leon Schmitt, Sr., her brothers & sisters- Donald, Leroy, Ralph, Ethel, Robert, Raymond, and Sandra; her grandson Thomas Schmitt, and her great granddaughter Madisyn Kadinger. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Salem Ev. Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society. If flowers grow in Heaven Lord, please pick a bunch for me; place them in my wife’s and mother’s arms and tell her they’re from us. Tell her we love her and miss her and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.

"To the family of Toby ,we were so sorry to hear of your loss.I think of all of you quite often actually. We miss you all.Your long lost friend. John and Haether Chyko
We are so sorry to hear about your Mom Sue. We have been on a trip and just returned Sunday so just heard about it.
I worked for Toby 37 years ago when I was just a kid, cleaning in the bar, while it was closed of course, and stocking the coolers. My family never had much and she was always a very gracious lady to us.... I always thought of her as a grandmother figure. She will forever be missed and thought of with great memories!!! Thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.... R.I.P. Toby!
I was able to share Sue's mom {Toby} through conversations over the phone and finding out what she was up to next in her life. She was a wonderful person. She left behind , Brian one of her grandson's who loved to help her when she was at an auction and at her bar.
What an truly amazing woman Toby was......long, long time family friend. Back to the days at Crystal Lake, Butch and Toby's bar and to her and George visiting me in Prairie du Sac while they harvested their asparagus crop :).. she will be missed by many....forgotten by none....RIP sweet lady!!
Sorry for your loss of a remarkable woman
Toby raised a whole bunch of wonderful children. She "did good". Although it's been quite a while since I've seen her, I'll never forget her wonderful smile & amazing laugh. Rest now, Toby. You will be missed.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. As I see this picture of Aunt Toby, I think of the times, coming to the bar, cleaning the bar and getting a soda and chips as my reward for my cleaning efforts. I also remember going to the trailer in Lodi and riding that 3 wheel bke down the hill and crashing. I will cherish these memories. May she rest in peace. Hugs and Love to all
